This week the Every Mind Matters initiative launched across several British television channels on 7th October, at 8.45 pm. Established by the Royal Foundation, Public Health England (PHE) and the NHS, Every Mind Matters aims to help people manage and look after their mental health.
The Every Mind Matters promotional video was narrated by the Dukes and Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex and included some of our very own Mad Dog 2020 artists.
Mad Dog 2020 Casting takes pride in working on positive initiatives like Every Mind Matters, which has created a conversation about mental health and wellbeing. Our artists are proud to be a part of this project too and have shared their experience of being involved:
‘The campaign was filmed at a well-known photography studio and it was incredible to be working somewhere so prestigious. As the day went on it became far more real what we were representing, and it became something personal. I woke up after it aired to text from a friend in Australia saying they’d seen the campaign on TV over there. I feel proud and incredibly lucky to be a part of this – it’s quite close to my heart and mental health support needs to be more accessible, especially to those in the arts.’ – Alexander, Mad Dog 2020 artist
‘It’s a great campaign addressing mental health awareness. The transition in the video from black and white to colour was a great touch to highlight the positive message and bring the artists from darkness into the light.’ – Tia, Mad Dog 2020 artist
The Every Mind Matters website allows free contact with a trained volunteer and provides you with an NHS approved action plan to get you through times of difficulty. The service helps individuals build on making positive changes to create an impact on their mental health and wellbeing, now and in the future.
