Top tips for Artists: How to Take Accurate Body Measurements
We cannot currently register new Supporting Artists face to face due to health and safety surrounding Covid-19. Typically, when we invite new Artists in to register with us, we will view your right to work documents, take professional photos and body measurements. Now, this important task is up to you. Check out our top tips for taking the most accurate body measurements below.
How to take your measurements
To ensure that you submit the most accurate information, we recommend using a fabric tape measure. Take your measurements in inches and if possible, ask someone else to help you.
We encourage all Artists to complete the measurements that apply to them.
If you require assistance please contact our Artist Support team.
How to Update your information
To update your information, log in to your profile via the Mad Dog 2020 App or our website. Open the appearance page where you will see the measurement boxes, ready to be completed or updated.
Sometimes measurements may be locked, which means you do not yet have access to update them. If so, please contact our team via App Chat and we will unlock this for you.
Why are measurements required?
It is important that we have as much information as possible on your profile to consider you for upcoming roles. Occasionally, we are required to source body doubles or stand-ins to fit certain costumes – this is when measurements become crucial. We may also need to share your costume information with production before a fitting. This is why it is vital all your information is always accurate and up to date.
From height to shoe size, hair colour and tattoos, ensure all information on your appearance page is complete and kept up to date. If booked based on your profile measurements then on arrival they do not match, you may not be used on the day and subsequently sent home without pay. We suggest asking someone from your household for assistance with this task to ensure your measurements are as accurate as possible.
If you have any queries regarding your profile please contact our Artist Support team via email, phone or app chat today.
